The lull before the fall

So here we are mid-August. Some kids are getting ready to go back to school shortly but here in the Garden State our kids don't go back to school until early September. So this is probably the most relaxed time of year. No back-to-school prep yet (unless you're super-organized and have already gotten everything for back-to-school.... yes, I'm guilty. ;)  Other than that, I'm off within the next few weeks for a little vacay... yay! I'll fill you in on my travels when I return.

Meanwhile I'm dealing with a slight concussion I received 2 days ago when I clonked my unusually large head on playground equipment. Yes, I'm one of those adults who climbs up the ladder and doesn't see the big metal crossbar. Well, that crossbar made me see stars and my head is still sore. This would be concussion #2 as I had another one years ago from a car accident. That one was one where I hit the top of my forehead. This one is directly on top so it's no fun washing or brushing my hair. Luckily I work from home so I don't have to venture out too much and scare people.
